LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that a target has been fixed to supply potable water to four crore rural population of Punjab during the next two and a half years and the institutions concerned should work with mutual coordination for its achievement.

He was addressing a meeting at Civil Secretariat through video link yesterday. Matters regarding Saaf Pani Project were reviewed on the occasion.

Shahbaz Sharif directed that Saaf Pani Project should be furthered in a professional manner. He said that as Saaf Pani Project is directly linked with human health, therefore, all out resources would be made available for its implementation.

Chief Executive Officer Punjab Saaf Pani Company gave a briefing on the matters relating to the project. Provincial Minister for Housing Tanvir Aslam Malik, Chairman Punjab Saaf Pani Company, MPA Kashif Padhyar, MPA Engineer Qamar ul Islam Raja, Chief Secretary, concerned secretaries and senior officials participated in the meeting through video link from Civil Secretariat while Chairman Planning & Development and DG LDA attended from Model Town.
