KARACHI (PPI) - Police on Tuesday submitted challan against two traffic police constables involved in a three-year-old girls murder case, which was transferred to Anti-Terrorism Court-1, Karachi, for trial. Administrative Judge ATCs Justice Abdur Rahman Faruq Pirzada of Sindh High Court accepted challan submitted by Investigation Officer. IO submitted during investigation he recorded statements of 19 witnesses, including two eyewitnesses, Judicial Magistrate East Karachi Malik Muhammad Akhtar, Women MLO Dr Farida Mobeen & MLO Dr. Abdul Jabbar of JPMC, Chemical Examiner, policemen and others. Two eyewitnesses identified suspects during identification parade held before JM Malik Muhammad Akhtar on July 15, 2009. Statements of witnesses testified that the accused kidnapped the minor and killed her. In view of post-mortem and chemical examination reports, final cause of death was established. Therefore, both cops were found guilty of committing offence punishable US 364-A, 376, 302, 34 PPC RW Section 7 Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.According to prosecution, Sana was kidnapped on July 3, 2009 playing near her home in Korangi, by constables Bashir Ahmed & Noor Muhammad, arrested on July 5, 2009. On their lead, her body was recovered from manhole near FTC Bridge. A case (FIR 33{009) was registered against suspects US 364, 302, 34 PCC RW Section 7 Anti-terrorism Act 1997 on complaint of victims uncle, Abdul Hashim, at Zaman Town police station. Accused were arrested on July 5, 2009 and remained in police and judicial custody for completion of investigation. AJ Justice Abdur Rahman Faruq Pirzada said in order - Challan accepted and register case. Case is transferred to ATC-1 for trial.
