Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that security officials had arrested Uzbek, Chechen and Maldives nationals allegedly involved in terror activities in Dir. In an interview with a private TV channel on Tuesday, he also ruled out talks with Taliban. He said that Brahamdagh Buti was living in Kabul, but now he had moved to Dubai or some other country. Afghanistan has showed development in connection with shutting down training camps, he added. He said Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had raised the issue at every forum that operation in Helmand would push Taliban towards Pakistan which will further aggravate the situation here. He said that almost 90,000 Afghan refugees have Pakistani National Identity Cards who have been traced. They penetrated in every sector of the society, he said ,adding, crime rate had gone up after their arrival here. To a query, he said that the way govt was holding talks with all stake-holders in Balochistan, it would help in resolving the issue soon. He said that nobody would be allowed to defame national flag in the province in future and the elements involved in such incidents would be brought to book. He disclosed that some teachers got training in Afghanistan who had been given task to misguide and provoke their students on anti-State activities. He said that the teachers involved in such activities had been arrested now. To another query, he said that no picture or portrait of Quaid-e-Azam was removed from the President House or PM Secretariat. It is just an issue raised by media to create sensation, he added.
