ISLAMABAD - The third Capital Cup Basketball Tournament will start from Wednesday (today) here at F-6 Basketball Courts. Twelve top clubs will be fighting for the top honour of the tournament, which is being organised by the Islamabad Basketball Association (IBA). The participating teams have been divided into four groups. Falcons, Eagles and Westridgians are bracketed in Pool A. Hawks, Wah and The Others make up Pool B. Crews, Wild Tigers and Islamabad Bulls are in Pool C while Pool D has outlaws, Bahrians and Crushers. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals, which will be played on July 31. The semi-finals will be held on August 1 and the final is slated for August 2. Four matches will be played on the opening day with Eagles taking on Westridgians, Bahrians playing Crushers, Crews meeting Islamabad Bulls and Hawks flexing their wings against The Others.
