KARACHI - The people belonging to different faiths and religions must communicate and maintain dialogue to understand each others beliefs and values in order to make this world a safer place. This was the message which the team of Ar-Rehman Ar-Raheem Network (AAN), founded by Babar Chaudhry, shared with the religious scholars, government officials and general public at the Annual Convention of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) held recently at Washington DC. The ISNA annual convention is the largest gathering of Muslims in North America and this year about 35,000 people of all nationalities attended the convention. While highlighting the importance of such a large gathering, the AAN team emphasised that a plan of action should be chalked out for the next year to take advantage of this opportunity, particularly for the youth, so that they can assess their performance and achievements at the next convention. Congressmen Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Andre Carson (D-ID) especially visited the booth of Ar-Rehman Ar-Raheem Network and commended the efforts of the Network in enhancing inter-faith dialogue and removing misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. The Congressmen stated that such a media Network was an essential need of the time to spread the voice of the Muslims all over the world. Muslim Students Association (MSA) and Muslim Youth of North America also had a large participation at the annual convention where scholars and intellectuals addressed the audience on topics concerning the current issues faced by the Muslims. The highlight of this annual convention was participation of Christian and Jewish religious scholars who were especially invited as guests.
