ISLAMABAD - As many as eight players and two officials of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) will leave here for Bangkok to participate in the first Martial Arts Games 2009, which will be held from August 1 to 9 in Thailand. According to an official of the PTF, around 40 countries are competing in the Asian Martial Arts Games with 599 male and 365 female athletes to contest in various sports disciplines. Pakistan Taekwondo champion Faheem Jawad Butt will be the flag bearer of the Pakistani contingent in the opening ceremony of the games. Names of the official and players: Raja Waseem Ahmed (Manager), Master Yohan Bae (Coach), Ghazanfar Ali (Fin), Faheem Jawad Butt (Fly), Javed Karim (Walter), Arif Mehmood (Middle), Maham Aftab (Fin - Female), Asia Batool (Female), Nadia Rasool (Female), Farzana Zulfiqar (Female).
