LAHORE - Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa said on Thursday the Parliament was the mother of constitution and a supreme body that could change the judicial system.

Talking to a 72-member delegation of the 96th National Management Course at the Governor’s House, Khosa said the elected representatives had a right to legislate and their power to change the judicial system could not be challenged by any authority.

He said those who wanted to cash in on the current political unrest were wrong because such a situation would harm democracy. The governor stressed the state organs should work within their purview.
