LAHORE - An Islamabad-bound PIA flight from Dubai was diverted to Lahore due to bad weather, adding to passengers’ woes.

The passengers complained that they remained stuck inside the flight without air-conditioners as they were not allowed to get off. The families, awaiting them at Islamabad Airport, also expressed concerns about their safety.  PIA Media Adviser Tahir Khalique said air-conditioners did not work after the plane landed. “The air-conditioners work after a plane takes off,” he added.

Tahir, however, said that passengers were being looked after well and would be departed to Islamabad as soon as the weather turns normal.

Meanwhile, another Islamabad-bound PIA flight from Karachi was not allowed to land at the federal capital because of the same reason. Earlier, the flight was diverted to Allama Iqbal Airport but it returned to Karachi due to bad weather in the Punjab capital.
