PESHAWAR - A remote-controlled blast partially damaged the shrine of Haji Mian Nika in Sorizai area of Bahdabera on Thursday.

Sources said the blast partially damaged two rooms of the shrine, however, no loss of life was reported. The blast spread fear and panic among the residents. The area has witnessed several incidents of terrorism in the past months.

Soon after the incident heavy contingent of police rushed towards the site and cordoned off the area. They also collected evidence from the blast site and started investigation.

Earlier, shrines of Rahman Baba and prominent Pashto poet and nationalist leader Ajmal Khattak were also targeted in the past.
