RAWALPINDI - Unknown robbers deprived two citizens of cash, gold ornaments and mobile phone while autos theft gang lifted three cars from different localities of the city here on Thursday.

The city police took up cases on the complaints of victims and launched investigation, however, no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

According to details, Dr Salman Ali, a victim, lodged a complaint with Police Station (PS) Westridge that he was on his way to home when three dacoits intercepted him pointing guns at him.

The dacoits snatched his mobile phone and cash and ran away, he mentioned in the application.

In the limits of Airport police station, two unidentified robbers equipped with sophisticated weapons stormed into the house of one Sikandar Imtiaz and made the entire family members hostage on gunpoint. Later, the burglars collected Rs 20,000 cash and gold ornaments and run away.

The victim approached the area police for legal action against the intruders.

In a fresh wave of car lifting, the car (RIA-5940) of Israr Gull was pilfered from the area of PS Race Course and Muhammad Shafique’s car (HY-258) was taken away from Commercial Market, the precinct of PS New Town whereas Corolla car (RA-670) of Abdul Qadeer has been taken away by unknown muggers from the area of PS Sadiqabad.
