LAHORE – Energy crisis has been destroying national economy while people are losing patience and indulging in violent activities due to prolonged loadshedding. Unemployment rate is increasing rapidly because industry is not working due to worst energy crisis. But government seems unconcerned.This was stated by Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal Regional Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry whiles his addressing the meeting of Former Vice Presidents and Chairmen of Regional Standing Committee here in the FPCCI Regional Office Lahore. He said energy crises is affecting economy and social peace. Unemployment is a serious problem but GOVT is not ready to solve the problems of industry. He added if energy crisis is solved then unemployment problem will be finished. Azhar Majeed Sheikh the Vice President FPCCI said textile industry is major industry in Pakistan facing worst crises due to electricity and gas shortage. He added we are paying double interest because industrial working days reduced to 150 days. Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Haji Aftab Ahmed Barlas, Qamar Zaman Gill the Former Vice Presidents FPCCI said it is very difficult to save industry and national economy without a business pro policy of the GOVT. Cap(R) M.A Farooqi said gain tax will open new doors of corruption. He demanded to remove the gain tax. Khawja Khawar Rashid, Chairman FPCCI Regional Standing Committee on Law and Order and Manzoor A. Malik Former President Sheikhupura CCI said unequal load shedding is bitterly affecting national economy.

 Abdulbasit, Chairman FPCCI Poultry Committee, Nadeem Bhatti, Tariq Ameer Khan, Tahira Naseem, Usama Hasan Yousaf, Rahmat Ullah Javed, Azmat Javed, Qaisra Shaikh, Kokab Parween President SNPWCCI were also present in meeting.
