PESHAWAR - Punjab dominated the second day by winning 13 gold medal, 6 silver and as many bronze medals and secured 447 points in the ongoing National Age Group Boys Swimming Championship here at Adil Khan Swimming Pool, Qayyum Sports Complex on Thursday.

MPA and Chairperson Provincial Assembly Standing Committee on Sports Shagufta Malik, VP KPOA was chief guest on the occasion  and gave away medals to the winners. Punjab swimmers have shown great length against fellow  competitors and grabbed 13 gold medals with six silver and as many bronze medals, followed by Sindh with 10 gold medal, 12 silver and 8 bronze with 423 points and KP with five gold, nine silver and 11 bronze medals by securing 304 points. The Islamabad was struggling at fourth position with one silver and three bronze.

In the U-12 overall Punjab won six gold, two silver and one bronze medal and collected 155 points remained at first, followed by Sindh with two gold medals, five silver and three bronze medals while KP with one bronze medal. In the U-14 Sindh got first position with 7 gold medal, three silver and three bronze medals with 201 points, followed by KP with two gold medal, three silver and three bronze medals by securing 104 points.

In the U-16 overall category Punjab with seven gold, one silver and two bronze medals and recorded 214 points and KP with three gold, six silvers and seven bronze medals with 170 points remained at second.
