ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has assured his party’s the disgruntled MPs from Sindh that all their genuine concerns would be resolved and directed for constitution of a special cell at Prime Minister’s Office to especially attend to the issues of the party leaders and MPs from Sindh.

Led by party MNAs and MPAs from Sindh, a PML-N Sindh Chapter held a detailed meeting with the Prime Minister and discussed issues relating to the party affairs in the province and put forth their grievances.

The Prime Minister gave patient hearing to their grievances and accepted that due to some communication gap the party leaders and MPs from the province were ignored. But he was quick to give them assurance that all their genuine concerns would be addressed and in this connection directed to establish a special cell to exclusively deal with the issues of PML-N Sindh Chapter.

“Our party is engaged in politics of reconciliation and strengthening of democracy”, said the Prime Minister and added, “but in the process the party’s Sindh chapter will not be ignored.”

The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Minister Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq, State Minister for Railways Abdul Hakeem Baloch and Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan.

Parliamentary Leader of PML-N Sindh Assembly Irfan Ullah Marwat, who had first spoke about the party’s indifference toward the Sindh Chapter, after the meeting said that he was more than satisfied with the meeting and the assurances given by the party leadership towards their genuine problems.

To a question, he said that the party MPs from the province had never demanded removal of Governor Sindh and it was also wrong that the PML-N Parliamentary Party in Sindh Assembly had withdrawn support to the Opposition Leader Sheharyar Mahr, he added.

He said that the meeting had concluded at a positive note and they would be returning back fully satisfied as they got assurance on meeting of all their demands.

Meanwhile, according to the Prime Minister’s House press release Parliamentarians from Sindh apprised the Prime Minister about development issues of their respective constituencies and lauded the success of Karachi operation and congratulated the Prime Minister on his successful visit to India. The issue of desecration of religious sites of minorities in Sindh was also highlighted.

The Prime Minister expressed serious concern over the acts of vandalism over religious sites in Sindh and directed to hold inquiry into the matter. The PM also said that Federal Government would undertake rehabilitation of religious sites that are damaged.

The Prime Minister also directed to establish a dedicated cell at the Prime Minister Office for Sindh affairs.

Moreover, the PM said that the position of provincial party leader and other vacant provincial party posts would be filled soon.

The Prime Minister further said that majority of mega-development projects like Karachi-Lahore Motorway, Thar Coal Power Project, Jamshoro Power Plant, Gaddani power park, Port Qasim Power Plant and Karachi circular railway are situated inside Sindh and these projects would not only be a source of economic prosperity but would also create millions of employment opportunities for locals.

The MPs delegation included Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, Marvi Memon, Shah Muhammad Shah, Ismail Rahu, Imdad Hussain Chandio, Zain Magsi, Dr. Rahila Gul Magsi, Saleem Zia, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Aslam Abro, Ghulam Mustafa, Munawar Raza, Haji Hanif Memon, Asghar Rind, Ayaz Ali Sheerazi, Dr Darshan Punchi, Bhawan Das, Dr Ramesh Lal, Irfan Marwat, Hamayoun Khan, Haji Shafi Jamoot, Soreth Thebo, Shah Hussain Shah Sherazi, Ejaz Shah Sherazi, Ameer Haider Sherazi, Aqil Jatoi, Masroor Jatoi and Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
