Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants to benefit from Chinese experts’ skills in the textile sector.

Addressing a ceremony held to lay foundation stone of Textile and Industrial Park in Faisalabad on Wednesday, he said that China was investing in various sectors of Pakistan. He expressed his desire to increase textile production with the help of modern technology and training. He said that stepped up economic activities would create employment opportunities in the countries.

Talking to UK High Commissioner in Pakistan Philip Barton during a meeting held at Lahore, the Punjab chief minister said the Skill Development Program will be expanded across the  province.

He said that the Punjab government and UK’s Development Department for International Development were heading towards adopting a comprehensive road map regarding the skill development. He said that the School Reforms Programme was being implemented in the province with the cooperation of DFID.

Speaking on the occasion, the UK high commissioner said that UK will continue to cooperate with the Punjab government in education, health and other social sectors. He appreciated the untiring work being done by the Punjab government for improvement of various social sectors.
