Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday announced his decision to quit the office of Chairman PAC in a press conference at Punjab House leveling serious allegations on government for incapacitating the slot by its acts. Sources in the government informed that though there was provision that Acting Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi could take decision in the matter but government would prefer to defer it till the return of Speaker Dr. Fahmida Mirza as in the process they would get enough time to select new chairman among a number of contenders for the slot. Sources said now the government was contemplating to keep the slot with some party loyalist in violation of the Charter of Democracy that, according to PPP leaders, was breached by PML-N leadership.
