ISLAMABAD - Since the inquiry on memogate controversy is underway, the Inquiry Commission on Abbottabad operation will interview Hussain Haqani, former Ambassador of Pakistan to US, by the mid of next month. The commission will interview Haqqani on December 14 in the cabinet division under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal, President of the Commission. The meeting will be attended by members of the Commission Abbas Khan, IG (Retd), Ashraf Jehangir Qazi and Lt. Gen. (Retd) Nadeem Ahmed. The commission will also interview PML-N leader Khawaja Asif and President NDU, Islamabad. It is relevant to mention here that Khawaja Asif, in the national assembly session, had said that he has written a letter to the Abbottabad investigation commission that why they were probing the matter as the supreme commander of the armed forces had termed the Abbottabad operation as a great victory. The inquiry Commission in its ongoing investigation process has already conducted detailed interviews of David Wright, Country Director, Save the Children, Farrukh Masood Khan, Director, Military Lands and Cantonment Department, Rawalpindi Region and Sohaib Athar, local resident of Abbottabad. In the previous meetings, the inquiry commission had also conducted interviews of local and official of the area namely Constable Nazar Muhammad, Muhammad Irshad, Major (R) Amir Aziz and Wajid Khan, wife of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Ahmed Al-Kuwaiti, wives and daughters of Osama Bin Laden. The commission had also interviewed DG ISI to know his perspective on the Abbottabad incident.
