LAHORE The political, religious and religio-political parties continued to hold demonstrations across the country including the City on Monday to condemn and protest against NATO air strike on two check posts in Mohmand Agency a couple of days back. Defa-e-Pakistan Council has announced to observe black day on coming Friday besides holding public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan lawn on December 18 to condemn the brutal and insane attack on Pakistani check posts. Political activists, students, traders, lawyers and people from various walks of lives came out on roads to vent their anger against the US and NATO forces and to force the rulers to give a befitting reply to the enemy. In a number of cities, funeral prayers in absentia was also for those martyred during the uncalled for attack. The protesters burnt effigies of US President Obama and the American flag. Addressing the rally organised by Al-Hamdia Students in Lahore, Haris Dar urged the rulers to take practical steps for checking the US terrorism in future. He said that students were ready to fight alongside the armed forces. PML-N also held a demonstration outside Lahore Press Club to condemn the incident. PML-N leader Ch Akhtar Rasool led the demonstration.
