The early arrest of 500 wanted human traffickers belonging to Gujranwala Division has become a big challenge for the Federal Investigation Agency, leaving several questions on its performance.

According to FIA officials, most of these fugitive human traffickers belonged to Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat and Gujranwala districts. The thousands of the applications submitted by affected people had been lying pending with FIA. The victims of the human traffickers’ highhandedness have also been seeking legal action against the human traffickers by the FIA.

On the other hand, FIA Gujranwala Deputy Director Malik Sikandar Hayyat told newsmen that despite the shortage of resources, the FIA was making hectic efforts to ensure early arrest of the above-mentioned 500 fugitives. He admitted that their early arrest was a big challenge for the FIA.

He said that there was shortage of the staff at FIA Gujranwala Region due to which, the thousands of complaints were lying pending and waiting for their turn for legal action against the human traffickers. He added that they had been extorting big amounts from the innocent people by showing them the golden dreams of their lucid future in aboard.
