LAHORE - Afghanistan U-19s thrashed Pakistan U-19s by 10 wickets under Duckworth Lewis method in the Afghanistan U-19s in Pakistan 2014-15 first match played here at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.

Afghanistan team won the toss and opted to field first. Pakistan youngsters were unable to pile up a good total and were bundled out for 131 runs in 32.2 overs. Saud Shakeel was top scorer with 21 runs hitting three fours while Aamer Jamal made unbeaten 17, Sajawal Riaz 18 and Zeeshan Malik 15 runs. Ziaur Rehman was pick of the Afghanistan bowlers as he grabbed three wickets for 20 runs while Muslim Musa, Javed, Rashid Khan and Juma Gul got one wicket each.

In reply, Afghanistan U-19s took a brilliant start and smashed 104 runs for no loss in 15.4 overs. The match was ruined by rain and according to D/L method, Afghanistan won the match by 10 wickets. Hazratullah batted brilliantly and hammered unbeaten 44-ball 66 runs hitting nine fours and three sixes while Shahidullah also played well and scored unbeaten 33 runs off 52 balls with the help of two fours and one six.

For his superb unbeaten knock of 66 runs, Hazratullah of Afghanistan was declared as man of the match.

Riazuddin and Sajid Afridi acted as umpires while Rashid Riaz was TV umpire, Khalid Niazi referee and Masood Ahmed was scorer.
