Islamabad- Spokesman Prime Minister House has clarified that, there was no discussion about creation of new provinces during a meeting between Prime Minister and MQM’s delegation.

According to media reports, four member delegation of MQM led by Khalid Maqbool Siddique had held a meeting with Premier Nawaz Sharif on tuesday, following which some media outlets revealed that, MQM had asked PM to support Muhajir province in Sindh.

Spokesman PM House, however rejected this news and clarified that, there was no such discussion between PM and MQM delegation. On other hand, federal information minister Pervaiz Rashid in an interview with private news channel has said that, MQM’s delegation had presented four points agenda in meeting and there was no discussion about new province or any other political issue however they discussed Express way, Circular Railway project and water issues in Karachi, he added.

He said our stance has always been clear; there should be a commission on new provinces issue which would listen to all stakeholders and make verdict over it.
