ISLAMABAD - National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Employees Union, Islamabad, has issued a notice of strike after failure in the dialogue pertaining problems of employees. The union presented for the first time a charter of demands to the administration, on which dialogues between them and the administration failed. Resultantly, the Nepra Employees Union Islamabad has finally issued a notice of strike. Since the administration of regulatory authority has not bothered to talk to Nepra Employees Union Islamabad within the defined time period mentioned in Industrial Relations Act, 2012 so the employees union has issued a notice of strike under section 37.According to a statement of Nepra Employees Union issued on Friday that the Nepra administration has so far left no stone unturned to make it hard for the workers to meet both ends amicably by ending the facilities for workers as no change in the salaries in wake of high inflation rate. Further, the administration at its sweet will is continuously changing the service rules of employees and no proper attention to resolve the issues/problems of workers. Even, no financial policy announced to uplift the status of employees. Promotion cases of Nepra employees are facing red tapism. It is pertinent to mention that Nepra employees has assured the Nepra Employees Union of their full support and cooperation in their endeavour to lure the mighty administration of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra).
