SHEIKHUPURA - The newly-appointed DPO Abdul Jabbar pledged that changing traditional 'Thana Culture' was his priority and warned the corrupt and negligent officers, saying that there was no room for black sheep in the department.

The DPO made the pledge while talking to The Nation here after assuming charge of his office, the other day.

He asked the police jawans to perform their duties honestly and be polite towards the public. "The main objective of the police is to create sense of security among the public and protect their honour and property," he pointed out, adding that being a policeman it was his first priority to bridge the gap between the masses and police and restore their confidence in the department.

It is to be noted that the DPO has recently completed his Masters in Public Administration Degree under Fulbright Scholarship from Maxwell School of Public Policy Department, Sir Yokes University New York, America.
