RAWALPINDI – Police, under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements, have arrested 28 lawbreakers and recovered 1,500-grams charras, 61 bottles of liquor, five pistols 30-bore and other items from their possession.

According to Rawalpindi police spokesperson, City Police Officer (CPO) has issued special directives to all the police officers of the district that an effective strategy should be formulated to control street crime in the city and those found indulged in street crimes should be sent behind the bars.

The CPO directed that police patrolling should be made more effective and solid steps should be taken for the arrest of proclaimed offenders so that the crime rate could be controlled.
