RAWALPINDI – Residents of Union Council Kalial have expressed grave concerns over lack of school and college facilities in the areas.

Union Council Kalial population runs into 50,000 and it consists of the areas of Shah Pur Sayedan, Galli Khatana, Kallri, Dhok Paharian, Gulshanabad and other settlements but no high school and college have been built for the residents.

Students of these areas have to take admission into schools and colleges at Rawalpindi and Islamabad.  Being a remote locality, students cannot reach their educational institutions in time and they have to miss one or two periods daily. Most of the students are from lower middle class or poor families and they cannot afford high fares of wagons daily.

The residents of the area demanded of the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation and announce the construction of s high school and college in the area.
