BAHAWALNAGAR - A mother has made an appeal to police high-ups to take action against Bakshan Khan Station House Officer Nadim Iqbal for brutally torturing her son.

"Descending into savagery, SHO Nadim Iqbal forced my son to drink urine before torturing her in custody without any charges during the holy month of Ramazan," complainant Nighat Perveen told the media on Friday. "Now Iqbal has been threatening to trap my son into fake murder case," she said, calling for registration of a criminal case against the SHO.

The SHO has been enjoying all perks and privileges, though a case (28/12) was registered with the Bahawalnagar Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) against him and the charges of abduction, torture in custody and fraud had been proved against Iqbal before the ACE deputy director. She called upon the authorities concerned to wake up to this sort of Thana culture.
