rawalpindi - Three people including a two-year-old girl sustained burn injuries when a gas stove exploded in a house located in Afandi Colony yesterday.

Rescue 1122 shifted the victims to hospital for treatment. The incident took place within the limits of Police Station Sadiqabad.

Doctors stated that condition of the wounded persons is out of danger. Those who received burn injuries included Dost Muhammad, 27, Wajid, 46, and Fatima Batool, 2. A police team also rushed to the incident place and started investigation.

Meanwhile, police conducted a search operation in the limits of police station Westridge and rounded up some 40 persons over violation of Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Ordinance 2015.

Similarly, four illegal Afghan immigrants have also been held by police during an action at Wah Cannt.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Ateeque Tahir supervised the search operation, informed police spokesman yesterday. During operation, 2 plazas and 15 vehicles were checked, he said adding that 150 persons were also interrogated by police.

On the other hand, Wah Cannt police during an action managed to arrest four illegal Afghan immigrants after their failure in producing any legal stay documents.
