Islamabad - Muttahida Quami Movement on Thursday staged a protest demonstration in front of National Press Club and appealed to the prime minister and army chief to take notice of extrajudicial killing of MQM workers.

A large number of MQM workers holding placards inscribed with slogans against ‘extrajudicial killing of MQM workers’ staged a protest demonstration. The MQM Upper Punjab President Haji Atiq was leading the demonstration.

The MQM workers also raised slogans against Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, saying that CM Sindh was not taking proper measures to take action against the criminals involved in the killing of MQM workers.

They said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take action against the fast increasing incidents of MQM workers’ killing in Karachi.

The MQM has time and again raised voice against killing of MQM workers in the National Assembly (NA). Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in this regard is leaving for Karachi today (Friday) to hold a high-level meeting to review the implementation process of National Action Plan.
