LAHORE – Dr Tariq Hussain, formerly with the World Bank and now based in the United States, visited Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) for a fortnight as an honorary consultant.

During his stay at the LCWU, he worked with faculty, staff, students and alumni to help the university develop a unified 10-year vision. This concluded in a ‘Vision and Values’ workshop in accordance with the emerging Vision 2020 of the LCWU.

All the stakeholders including faculty, administration, students and alumni actively participated to develop the proposals. Dr Hussain assisted in the design and conduct of the workshop.

The ‘Vision and Values’ developed by the workshop participants will govern the development of an action programme to guide the LCWU in accomplishing its vision during the next decade.

LCWU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sabiha Mansoor thanked Dr Hussain for his contribution to the university. “We are proud to be the largest women university in Asia and we are focusing on producing quality products to meet the needs of the hour in the changing and emerging world,” she said.
