LAHORE – Post Graduate Nursing College (PGNC) Principal Ishrat Ishaq said on Sunday that a two-year Post-RN course had been launched at the college and a skill lab had also been set up to improve training standards at the institute.

Chairing an administrative meeting at the college, Ishrat said so far 4,000 nurses had completed specialised training at the PGNC and now they were serving at emergency, ICU, CCU, operation theatres and other sensitive wards in different leading hospitals.

The PGNC principal urged the nursing superintendents to depute the qualified nurses at their relevant wards in the larger interest of patients. She said nurses were blessed with talent, dedication and spirit of hard work. “They only need encouragement, which is main focus of the institute,” said Ishrat, adding that there is no dearth of funds for new initiatives to improve the college’s performance.
