In June, 2008 the power generation capacity was 20,297 MW and consequently Rs 76 Billion were set aside to bring it to 22,297 MW in the next fiscal year. Today in June 2011, the total production of power generation stands at 13,240 MW. In the three years, the capacity has been reduced from 20,297 MW to 13,240 MW despite colossal allocation of funds. Note the landslide in the loadshedding of electricity in the past three years. A. Q ANJUM, Rawalpindi, June 24.
