NAWABSHAH - Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested the mastermind of Friday’s bus attack that killed nine people. Gunmen ambushed a passenger coach on National Highway near Qazi Ahmed locality of Nawabshah, prompting President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the tragic incident. Sindh's nationalist parties and MQM had condemned the assault, describing it as a bid to fuel ethnic hatred in the province.

Sources told the media that a suspect was arrested from a village in Daulatpur taluka of Nawabshah. The detainee was named as Ejaz Pirzada, who masterminded the plan according to police.
