Two alleged outlaws were killed in crossfire with the police and another was killed by the firing of his accomplices during shootout the other day

In Kasur, an outlaw was killed by his own accomplices following a shootout with police in the remit of Sarai Mughal Police the other night.

DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that a police team had brought a notorious outlaw named Anwar alias Anu from district Narowal to Sarai Mughal Police Station for investigation in a case. He informed that the police got his physical remand for four days and took him to Hanjraye Kalan area for recovery of booty.

As the police team reached near Lakho Dair village in the remit of Sarai Mughal Police, suddenly five to six accomplices of the accused attacked the police party and managed to get him free from the police. They fled away into a nearby field. On receiving calls through wireless, police re-enforcement rushed to the spot and started search for the accused. In the meanwhile, they came across the outlaws who started indiscriminate firing on police party which the police retaliated. However, when the firing stopped and the police ahead, they found, the outlaw who was got freed, dead. The DPO said that the outlaw was killed by the firing his accomplices. He said that the dead accused had been involved in 39 heinous cases of robbery, extortion and attempt to murder. The police have started search for the fleeing accused.

In Bahawalnagar, two notorious robbers were killed in crossfire with police here on Sunday.

The shootout took place near Muhammadpur Maawan locality of Bahawalnagar when the police approached the robbers fleeing after committing a robbery.

Upon sighting the police, the robbers started firing on police and tried to flee which led to exchange of fire which continued for more than 20 minutes.

In crossfire, two notorious robbers, wanted by police in number of cases, were killed. The bodies of robbers were shifted to hospital for post-mortem.
