KASUR - The police arrested five suspected outlaws during a grand search operation carried out in two villages - Dao Kye Kalan and Dao Kye Khaliana - in the limits of Mandi Usmanwala Police here on Sunday.

About two hundred personnel of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) took part in the operation that continued for about five hours.

Kasur DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi informed that the operation was started around 11:00am and continued till 3:00pm. He informed that two DSPs, six SHOs, two Elite Force teams, 21 upper subordinates and 90 constables took part in the operations. DPO Rizvi pointed out that both the villages were cordoned off before launching the operation. He said that the police recovered five illegal weapons along with large number of bullets. Ali Nasir Rizvi revealed that the police also arrested five suspected outlaws while interrogated 80 suspects and impounded nine suspicious motorbikes. He said that around 105 houses and shops were thoroughly searched and more than 300 people were questioned.
