LAHORE - JI chief yesterday said the Bangladesh government is executing the Bengalis who supported the two-nation theory during 1971 insurgency and the Pakistani government is maintaining criminal silence over this serious issue.

Addressing a protest demonstration in front of Masjid-e-Shuhada against the executions of JI Bangladesh leaders for supporting the two-nation theory during 1971 civil war in former East Pakistan, he said, “The Bangladesh government is executing supporters of united Pakistan one by one and our government keeping a criminal mum instead of raising the issue on international forums.”

“There is no difference between Bangladesh Prime Minister and the rulers in Islamabad with regard to executions of pro-Pakistan leaders in Bangladesh,” he maintained.

The ruler are propagating the debate of a liberal Pakistan, which is tantamount to rubbing salt on the wounds of the martyrs of Kashmir and Bangladesh, said Haq.

“The Bengalis who had been executed in Bangladesh had not been fighting for power but for the love of Pakistan and its ideology. They sacrificed their lives for the love of the country,” remarked the JI chief.

Condemning President Mamoon Husain’s proposal on usury, Haq demanded President’s public apology on the matter.
