FAISALABAD - The Muslims must iron out differences for the unity of Muslim Ummah to bring about development and prosperity, Religious scholar Sultan Ahmad Ali emphasised. “If we want to steer our country out of crises, we have to follow the message of Allama Iqbal. The thoughts of Iqbal must be injected in the minds and hearts of youngsters. He (Iqbal) had presented a way of life in the light of Quran and Sunnah,” he said, adding that it is giving solutions to the problems being faced by people.

He was addressing a seminar titled “Message of Allama Iqbal to Youngsters” at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) the other day. The seminar was arranged by Senior Tutor Office and was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad.

He was of the view that Islam gives the lesson of brotherhood and abhors its followers to shun all differences arising due to sectarianism, caste, creed and colours.”

He said that the reason behind the prevailing downfall is the division among the Muslims and low literacy. The measures are needed to ride over challenges with unity, and joint efforts. He said that the Iqbal gave us the message of struggle, hardworking and education. For which, the youngsters have to leave no stone unturned to come up to the expectations. He said that concept of Iqbal’s Shaheen was the most important and urged the people to adopt the characteristics of Shaheen.

UAF VC Dr Iqrar said that Dr Muhammad Iqbal’s philosophy has always been about exploring oneself. He stressed upon the youth to understand the poetry of Iqbal to cope with the different challenges through hard work, dedication and education. He said that teachings of Allama Iqbal inculcate tolerance, peace and stability in the society.
