QUETTA - Levies personnel recovered three bullet-riddled bodies from Balochistan's Turbat district on Tuesday.

Levies sources said here that the bodies were recovered from the Mand area of Turbat. Local residents in Mand had spotted the bodies and informed Levies personnel.

The bodies were later shifted to a hospital for identification. A large number of people gathered at the hospital to see the bodies, Levies said.

"The victims had received multiple bullet wounds," Levies sources said, adding that the victims were shot from a close range.

Police and other law enforcement agencies reached the spot immediately and a probe into the incident was launched.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the killings as yet.


Unidentified miscreants blasted a 24 inch diameters gas pipeline with explosives in Sui area of Dera Bugti and a railway track in Bolan was blown up Tuesday, suspending the gas supply to some parts of Punjab and train service in Balochistan.

According to police sources, some unidentified miscreants had planted explosive material under gas pipeline of 24 inch diameters located near Dolli check post in Sui Tehsil of Dera Bugti which went off with a big bang.  

The pipeline was completely destroyed in the blast due to which gas supply to some parts of Punjab was suspended. Personnel of Frontier Corps and Levies Force reached the spot and cordoned off the area to launch a probe into the incident.

The authorities have started work for repairing the damaged gas pipeline after security clearance.

In another sabotage incident, miscreants blasted a railway line in Mushaf area of Bolan on Tuesday. The blast suspended the rail traffic.
