Islamabad - Islamabad police have arrested 14 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 3.8 kilograms hashish, wine, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said here on Tuesday.

Separately, police recovered the dead body of one Amyar Ali Javed, son of Javed Iqbal, from Rawal Dam. The police said that the deceased was the resident of sector G-10. The dead body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy.

According to details, Aabpara police team raided at sector G-6/2 and arrested two accused Perveen Bibi and Komal and recovered 60 litres liquor from their possession. Kohsar police arrested a drug peddler Asif and recovered 1.2 kilograms hashish from him.

Marrgalla police arrested an accused Ajjy and recovered 31 bottles of wine and one 30-bore pistol from him. Ramna police arrested two fake cops namely Hasnain and Danyal while Industrial Area police arrested Farooq for having a 30-bore pistol.

Bani Gala police arrested a bootlegger Sajjad Hussain and recovered two bottles of wine from him. Koral police arrested a drug peddler Amjad Riaz and recovered 2.6 kilograms hashish from him while Shehzad Town police arrested five encroachers.

During campaign against professional alms-seekers, police arrested four beggars. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way, the police spokesman said.
