LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din and Population Welfare Minister Zakia Shahnawaz have said that the government would take all possible steps for resolving the problems of working women.

Addressing provincial consultative conference on policy/recommendations for women workers arranged by Home Net Pakistan, Aurat Foundation, USAID and Gender Equity Programme (GEP) on Friday, the ministers said that the government had introduced steps for economic empowerment of women in women packages 2012 and 2014. They added that Women Package 2012 had been fully implemented while implementation on women package 2014 was underway.

“On the pattern of public sector, our government is making efforts for fixing 15 per cent job quota for women in private sector,” they continued.
