ISLAMABAD - Pakistan junior squash team brushed aside Kuwait 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the 17th Asian Junior Team Championship 2015 in Malaysia on Friday to set semifinal date against Hong Kong.

In the first match Syed Ali Mujtaba Bokahri beat Eisa Muhammad 3-0 in only 19 minutes. Ali was too hot to handle for the young Kuwaiti lad. Ali was in sublime form as he dropped only two points to take the first game 11-2. Eisa showed some tough resistance in the second game but eventually lost the game 11-7. Third game also started in fast pace but once again Ali showed no mercy and took the game 11-5 to give Pakistan a perfect start.

In the second match Pakistan's top player Tayyab Aslam outplayed Khaled Al Jenaidel 3-0 in 19 minutes. Tayyab won the first game 11-2 but had to dig deep to win the second game 11-8. It was all Tayyab in the third game as Khaled was clearly looking very tired as Tayyab dropped just one point to take the game 11-1. In the third and last match, which was a dead rubber, Asim Khan beat Muhammad 3-0 in 15 minutes, winning 11-5, 11-2 and 11-0.

While talking to The Nation from Malaysia head coach Faheem Gul termed victory quite satisfactory and was hopeful of Pakistan victory in semifinal against a strong Hong Kong team.
