New Delhi: Indian Railway Police detained a Pakistani woman in Jalandhar for allegedly travelling without a ticket and other relevant documents, the Indian media reported.

As per details, 27-year-old Chanda, a resident of Karachi, boarded the Samjhauta Express from Lahore and arrived in Attari on Thursday. She was arrested in Jalandhar when Indian authorities found that she was allegedly travelling without passport and other travel documents.

During questioning, Chanda told police that her uncle, who was carrying all the travel documents and tickets, left the train to bring water and did not return.

After initial questioning by the railway police and local intelligence officials, she has been sent to the immigration office in Amritsar for further interrogation.
