BAJAUR AGENCY – The election activities have taken momentum in the troubled Bajaur tribal region as so for some 40 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the NA-43 and NA-44 constituencies.

The election process in Bajaur Agency is in full swing and the candidates were busy in the procedure of getting and submitting nomination papers for the coming general election on May 11.

According to the agency Election Commission sources, a round 60 candidates so far have obtained the nomination forms for the two National Assembly constituencies of the agency.

Sources said that at least 4o candidates majority of them were belonging to the various political parties had submitted their nomination papers for NA 43 and NA 44.

Ameer Jamaat Islami Fata Sahibzada Haroonur Rasheed, ex MNA and Ameer JUI F Bajaur Maulana Mohammad Sadiq , President Pakistan Tehreek-I- Insaf Bajaur, Dr Khalilur Rahman and Abdullh son of ex- MNA late Haji Lal Kareem have submitted their nomination papers to contest election from NA-43 .

Similarly, ex-senator and secretary General of JUI-F Maulana Abdur Rasheed, Ameer JI local chapter Sardar Khan, President PMLQ Haji Said Badshah and senior leaders of PTI Mambar Khan and Nawab Zada Jalaluddin Khan have submitted their nomination papers for NA-44.

On Thursday last, several independent candidates, including father of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah Khan, Haji Bismallah Khan (ex-MNA) and Senator Hidayatullah Khan, brother of Engineer Shaukatullah Khan have also submitted their nomination papers for NA-43 and NA-44 respectively.

More candidates would also expect to submit their nomination papers on the last day of submitting of nomination papers.

Meanwhile, several candidates majority of them were less educated have complaints about the complication of nomination papers and they have hired the services of lawyers and others educated persons.
