SADIQABAD - PPP candidate for NA-197, Murtaza Mehmood, claimed that district Rahim Yar Khan was a stronghold of his party, saying that only the PPP-nominated candidates would win all the six National Assembly and 13 Punjab Assembly seats across the district in the general elections.  "PPP has become an organised political force from Chani Goth to Kot Sabzal," he said talking to a delegation led by PPP district secretary general Muhammad Din at his house. He further claimed that under the chair of Bilawal Bhutto, his party would get a landslide victory in the elections.

The PPP candidate for NA-197 has started electioneering at the National Assembly constituency by visiting union councils Rahimabad and Machhka. He met with the local dignitaries who assured him of their full support in the upcoming general elections. Accompanied by Sardar Habibur Rehman, the PPP candidate pledged to purge the country of corruption, plundering in line with the people's expectations to solve their grievances. He said, "Insha'Allah, with the public support, I will win the election and start serving the people without any discrimination."  Mentioning the "public services" by his forefathers, the candidate said that he would ask for votes on the basis of services and performance.
