Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani has said he has lost all respect for Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh because he is leading a corrupt government. Addressing a rally here in Bangalore, Advani said he had never seen a more corrupt government than the one led by Dr. Manmohan Singh. "Before becoming the Prime Minister of the country, I respected Manmohan Singh. I held him in great esteem, I thought that he was a good, competent administrator. But today I am very sad to say that I have never seen a more corrupt government," said Advani. He further praised the state's ruling BJP for setting an example by removing tainted former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa from his post after the state ombudsman had levelled corruption charges against him. Advani also commended Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda for taking over the reins of the state during a difficult time. "If we want to fight against corruption, then we won't tolerate any corruption in our own party. There should be no doubt in this stand. I am very happy that when I came here and spoke to the new chief minister of the state, I was assured that he is going in the right direction and will provide a strong and good government to Karnataka," he added.
