LAHORE Dissolved Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) in its last public statement has declared the end in load shedding across the country. There was no gap between power generation and demand except industrial and DISCOs constrains in some areas, stated PEPCOs spokesperson here on Sunday. Sources in Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) also said that there was no load shedding in Lahore. Similarly, according to reports about one to two hours load shedding is being carried out in cities while rural areas in the country remained under two to three hours shutdown. According to the PEPCO, hydel generation was standing at 4,223MW while the GENCOs generated 1,287MW for the national grid. The Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and the Rental Power Producers (RPPs) produced 6,618MW and 172MW respectively. The Karachi Electric Power Company supplied 600MW to meet the demand of the biggest city.
