Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Provincial Minister Amjad Khan Afridi on Monday escaped unhurt when his bullet-proof car came under the barrage of fire in an ambush by unknown assailants in Bilitang area. Official sources said that Amjad Khan Afridi, minister for housing and physical planning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, was traveling in his bullet-proof car when militants hiding in the Bilitang area of Kohat district opened fire. "The Militants fired three sniper shots from the nearby hills. One bullet hit the car's windscreen. The minister is safe," police said adding that minister was the target and insurgents attacking security forces and government installations were involved in this attack. Police said that the PPP provincial minister car was being escorted by police.
