At least three people, including a leader of a religious party were killed and two others injured in separate incidents of violence in different localities of city on Monday. According to police, unidentified armed assailants opened fire at Abdul Jabbar, a leader of a political party, and his companion identified as Imdad near Jouhar More leaving him critically injured. They were shifted to a nearby private hospital where Abdul Jabbar succumbed to his wounds. In Malir locality, a youngster Qasim Ali was gunned down by some unidentified miscreants. In Cattle Market located at Super Highway, a trader was killed as armed men opened fire at him after exchange of hot words over financial dispute. In yet another incident, armed robbers entered Fareed Express train in Jumma Goth area of Buffalo Colony and started looting the passengers. The dacoits opened fire and injured a youth when he offered resistant. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
