Pr LAHORE - Professional Association of Insurance Surveyors of Pakistan (PAIS) has demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action against corruption mafia in Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

A meeting of PAIS, chaired by President Junaid Zaidi, was attended by the insurance surveyors from all over Pakistan in response to Islamabad High Court passing the Bill of Indictment against former chairman of SECP Zafar Hijazi.

The surveyors in the meeting recalled that they were informing Finance Minister Ishaq Dar that SECP Executive Director Ali Azeem Ikram, who confessed that he had tampered the record of Sharif Family’s Mills, is still doing corruption by misappropriating the law and giving irreparable loss to the insurance surveyors. Unfortunately, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar eyes are always closed against any complaint regarding SECP, they said.

The meeting alleged that Ali Azeem is not only looting public finance but badly damaging the insurance industry. The entire insurance industry stands on the pillars of public contributed premium. Keeping an eye closed by the finance minister upon this corruption is suspicious, they added.

The surveyors observed that they have complained multiple times to the finance minister to look into this factory of corruption but his eyes are always closed against any complaint against SECP. They demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action against corruption mafia.
