Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov along with a delegation will pay an official visit to Pakistan on Thursday.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson, Uzbek foreign minister will have a one to one meeting with the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi followed by delegation level talks.

The Uzbek foreign minister will also call on Prime Minister Imran Khan and areas of mutual interests will be discussed in the meeting.

Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoy a close and cordial relationship founded in mutual trust and understanding and augmented by strong cultural and religious affinities. Pakistan hoped this visit of the Uzbek FM will contribute to increased mutual cooperation on the bilateral and regional fronts, the spokesperson added.

He also stated that this visit of the honoured dignitary would reinforce Pakistan's endeavours to deepen its engagement with Uzbekistan and build a strategic partnership with that country.
